Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who serves as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed that he almost got into problems for his remarks regarding powerful cabals that are supposedly preventing the establishment of private refineries in Nigeria.
Pastor Adeboye drew reference to words he made during the Abuja Holy Ghost Service earlier this year when he was speaking at the annual Holy Ghost Congress held at Redemption City. In his remarks, he urged for prayers to be offered against forces that are working against the growth of the nation.
"I said something during the Abuja Holy Ghost Service which I am not going to repeat because I nearly got into trouble for telling the truth," he explained to reporters. In this country, there are some occurrences that cause one to question whether or not we are living under a curse. There are countries that have fewer resources than we do, but nevertheless they appear to be doing better than we are.
As a result of the billions of naira that have been spent on repairing Nigeria's four government-owned refineries, Pastor Adeboye has expressed his frustration that these refineries are still not functioning properly. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the financial situation of the country and pleaded for divine intervention.
Adeboye emphasised the importance of spiritual strength and the power of God's light by focussing on the theme "Onwards Christian Soldiers," which encouraged Christians to push on. There will be light in our nations, he declared, "Let me just say tonight, in the name above every other name, there will be light in our nations." He went into further detail about the efficacy of divine commandments, citing examples such as the creation of light by God and the resurrection of Lazarus.
"When God speaks, it is a demand that is both emphatic and undeniable. Adeboye elaborated on the fact that darkness brings about chaos, whereas His light brings about clarity and order. To seek spiritual refreshment and pray for divine intervention in the issues facing the nation, believers have gathered together to participate in the Holy Ghost Congress, which is currently taking place.
